Both the sb5100 and sb5101 are great modems, but they both offer different things. They however both share the same processor speed of 200Mhz and both share the same speed in memory. If you've experienced signal issues in the past we recommend the sb5101 since it has a stronger coaxial tuner. If signal is no issue to you then go with the sb5100, as both modems are identical in hardware and offer the same capabilities being both docsis 1.0 through docsis 2.0 compliant. |

USB JTAG is a solution which allows users program their cable modems at previously unheard of speeds from 20 secends to 5 minuts depends on type of device.USB JTAG is the greatest tool available for any modem modification enthusiast. Words cannot express how amazing this device is. Parallel JTAG cables program at about 1500 bytes per second. The SBH USB JTAG programs at 100-200kb/s (100 times faster). Usb Jtag is a upgrade to Parallel JTAG - The oldest and cheapest JTAG solution available, the para jtag connects to the LPT connection on your PC. This type of JTAG is the slowest JTAG available but is also the cheapest. If you have a LPT port on your computer and plan to flash only one or two modems then this is probably the best product for you. Programming a single modem takes about 30-45 minutes with this type of JTAG.
With these you can backup or load the:
- bootloader,
- 1st boot image
- 2nd boot image
- entire 2mb memory
- Great for copying modem certs from your original modem!
- Viewing RAW hex values in memory.
- "Debricking"
USB JTAG can repair (de-brick) almost ANY modem, no matter how badly it is bricked.
